The project delivered over 90,000sqm of premium office space while retaining and integrating a significant portion of the original 1970s State Office Block, demonstrating innovative upcycling of existing structures. Standing 216m tall, the tower required careful integration of new and existing structural elements to manage differential settlement and material shrinkage.

Quay Quarter Tower

Hydraulic services design addressed complex challenges including sloping roof gutters tested at scale, a DAF greasy waste system, and offsite prefabrication of a multi-level lift shaft coordinated across multiple fabrication and installation sites.

The project encompassed all stages of design, documentation, authority approvals, and shop drawings, ensuring seamless integration with the structural frame and other building systems. The result is a highperformance, technically sophisticated, and sustainable office tower that sets a benchmark for adaptive high-rise redevelopment.
